Martin Stålros appointed as new CEO of Relax Gaming

Relax Gaming, one of the biggest game providers and iGaming aggregator has appointed Martin Stålros as the company’s new CEO.

Martin Stålros is an industry veteran with more than 15 years of experience and has been at Relax Gaming since 2015, working as the company’s COO for over 9 years. He will now replace Simon Hammon as CEO, who will remain in his position until October 2024 to assist with the transition process.

Stålros background also includes companies like Ladbrokes and Unibet, where he worked mostly with poker. He will now look to continue Relax Gaming’s growth and expansion, making a new phase for the company.

Patrick Österåker, Chairman of the Board at Relax Gaming, said the following after Martin Stålros’ appointment to CEO:

He also said a few words of appreciation to Simon Hammon for his work in the past years: “The Board and myself also wish to extend a heartful thank you to the outgoing CEO, Simon Hammon, who has been absolutely instrumental in building Relax to the position we are in today. We wish him all the best in life and in his new projects. Thank you, Simon.”

Simon Hammon also left some comments on his replacement and his last five years at Relax Gaming:

The new CEO of Relax Gaming, Martin Stålros, added: “Having the opportunity to step up as CEO after seeing the company grow from 30 to 350 people during my time as COO is tremendously exciting. Relax Gaming Extensive Portfolio

Founded in 2010, Relax Gaming has expanded into one of the biggest online slot game providers in the industry. The company has a portfolio of over 700 operator brands and became one of the first suppliers to enter the Ontario gaming market.

One of the most recent slot releases of Relax Gaming is Money Cart 4, a new and upgraded version of the previous versions that is already available at almost all online casinos.

Besides the Ontario license, the company also has several other licenses to operate worldwide:

• United Kingdom Gambling Commission
• Hellenic Gaming Commission

The company is also having a busy 2024 and plenty more is expected in the next few months. Relax Gaming secured a deal in March with Light & Wonder to provide content in Europe, the U.S. and Canada. In the same month, the company also strengthened its presence in Italy with a partnership with SKS365, a local operator.

Relax Gaming also expanded its reach in Europe through a partnership with LVC Diamond Kft, a Hungarian company that owns the brand Vegas.hu.
