All-In

All-In is a term used predominantly in the game of poker, signifying a player’s decision to bet all of their remaining chips on their hand.

This move is often seen in no-limit poker games, where players are not restricted by maximum bet limits.

Going all-in is a critical and strategic decision, reflecting a player’s confidence in their current hand or their attempt to bluff opponents.

When a player goes all-in, they are putting their entire stake in the game at risk, but also stand a chance to win the entire pot, which is the sum of all bets made in that hand.

Once a player has gone all-in, they cannot make any more bets or actions for the remainder of the hand. If other players continue to bet, a side pot is created, which the all-in player is not eligible to win.

The all-in player can only win the portion of the pot they contributed to. This move is often a game-changer, either leading to a significant boost in the player’s chip stack or their elimination from the game if they lose the hand.

It’s a tactic used both by players with strong hands and those trying to exert psychological pressure on their opponents.
